At Uniden, we care about our customers and want to do everything we can to make sure that you have the best possible experience with our products. Earlier this year, we noticed quite a few reports of the real-time clock battery failing on some of our BCD536HP and BCD436HP scanners. Since that time, we have been investigating the cause of these reports and looking at what we can do to take care of those of you who have experienced this issue.

We have now set up a process for you to use if you happen to experience this problem.

  1. Follow the link below to enter your scanner information and your shipping information. You will get a confirmation email once you complete your registration.
  2. Once we have parts on hand to work on your scanner(s), and the repair line capacity available to ensure a rapid turnaround, we will send you a 2nd email with a UPS shipping label.
  3. Ship your product(s) to us using the label.
  4. Once received, we will repair and return your scanner to you.

Note: Our goal is to not take longer than 3 weeks to repair and return your scanner. We will not send you a label unless we are certain that we have the parts on hand and the repair line capacity available to ensure a rapid turnaround. It might take several weeks from the time you register your scanner until we send you a shipping label.
