Sales and Business Development Manager – Mexico/Central & South America
About the Position:
Uniden, a world leader in innovative wireless electronics, is currently seeking a Sales and Business Development Manager for sales in the Mexico, Central and South American markets. Direct focus will be on business development. This position is based in the Ft. Worth, TX office.
Responsibilities:
- Identifies new channels and new channel partners.
- Will be responsible for all product lines.
- Identifies, secures, and maintains strong relationships with distributors and key customers in this target market.
- Will most likely also be assigned some domestic customer accounts.
- Acquires and maintains a proficient knowledge of product information and customer requirements.
- Works with product management to determine proper feature sets and roll-outs required to be successful in this market
segment.
- Works internally with executive management, Marketing, Credit, Legal, and Operations.
- Coordinates activities concerning customer issues such as scheduling, credit, and product planning.
- Educates customers with respect to ordering, programs, training and credit processes.
- Provides timely, accurate and complete sales forecasts and reports.
- Provides thorough market feedback to management.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of sales experience in consumer electronics or a related industry, with demonstrated experience in the Mexico/
Central/South American markets
- Bachelor’s degree in business major related to sales is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in new business development, and meeting/exceeding sales goals.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relations
- Strong business-level Spanish and English language skills (read, speak, write)
- Possesses an understanding of the manufacturing process, including lead times and the product lifecycle.
- Regular international and some domestic travel (50%+)
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, organizational and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
are essential to this position.
